Sukhi Dosanjh, founding member of The BPR Crew and CEO of Desi Rhythm Inc., is widely regarded as one of the pioneers of the Desi music scene in the U.S. In 1993, The BPR Crew helped launch a new era by being among the first to produce Desi remix CDs. Their groundbreaking debut album Powerhouse featured legends like the late Ustaad Kuldeep Manak and Surjit Bindrakhia, setting the stage for countless mixtapes that followed.
From Beware of the Boyz—a Bhangra/Hip Hop classic—to The Next Level featuring Bohemia, BPR’s Bhangra Party Mix, The Takeover, and The Fusion Mixtape featuring Rajeshwari, The BPR Crew has continually pushed boundaries by blending Eastern and Western sounds.
